Teachers of Tomorrow: Orientation and Recognition 2024

On August 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Assumption Circle of Education Students (ACES) of Assumption College of Davao held a Teacher Education Program Orientation and Dean’s List Recognition for the 2023-2024 school year at the gymnasium.

Ms. Lovely Erica Limbo and Ms. Sheryn Bonbon, students from the BSED-English and Science programs, hosted the event. Dr. Cristy Q. Efondo opened the orientation by discussing the discoveries, developments, and experiences that students gain throughout their journey.

Mr. Dandie Fernandez then introduced the vision, mission, and goals of the program. Following this, Dr. Edwin Acain presented the program outcomes for BEED and BSED, setting the stage for a successful teacher preparation journey by providing essential information, resources, and support. Furthermore, Dr. Cristy Q. Efondo and Ms. Evelinda Castillo provided additional information, discussing teaching modalities, the importance of retention, and the grading system.

Moreover, one of the highlights of the orientation was the Dean’s List Recognition, which formally acknowledged students’ successful completion of the teacher education program.

The event concluded with a photo session, allowing students and friends to enjoy the occasion. The orientation served as a guide through the various stages of the program, from understanding the vision and mission to achieving specific outcomes and preparing for a successful career in education.
