On February 27, 2025, the Assumption Young Scientist Organization (AYSO) orchestrated an impactful National Science Day event at AVR1, embracing the theme “Innovating for a Sustainable Tomorrow: Embracing Renewable Transitions for Global Well-Being and Honoring Earth’s Biodiversity.” Upon entering the venue, members registered their attendance by writing their names and receiving wristbands, symbolizing their participation. The program commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by the heartfelt singing of the national anthem, reflecting the core values of being an Assumptionist. The energy soared as participants danced the lively Bumblebee Dance, bringing vibrancy and enthusiasm to the gathering. Following this invigorating start, the Moderator delivered opening remarks, warmly welcoming all members and officially launching the day’s activities.

National Science Day was a thrilling celebration of innovation and learning. The event kicked off with an energizing “Cheers and Yells” segment that set the stage for an exciting day. This was followed by “Impersonate Me,” where students embodied famous scientists, bringing their contributions to life. In the “Paint Me a Picture” segment, students artistically presented their ideas. The day continued with the “Experiment” segment, where students conducted hands-on experiments and showcased their findings, followed by “Inventory,” a creative challenge where students shared innovative ideas for products made from recycled materials. The day concluded with an intense Quiz Bee with a Twist, testing participants’ knowledge of science.

During the kamustahan, the Master of Ceremony welcomed students from the first to third years, fostering a sense of solidarity among everyone present. First-year students shared their innovative ideas and interest in science, while second-year students were appreciated for their increasing knowledge and ongoing projects. Participants shared their excitement about Sci-Fest and their reasons for choosing science.

As the event drew to a close, it emphasized the importance of science in our lives and the commitment to renewable energy transition. The event concluded with an open forum and reflections on future endeavors, inspiring future generations to contribute to sustainable development.
