We have transitioned from an era of solidarity that united us last year to a new universe that fosters unity and enhances our brightness. The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) hosted its annual acquaintance night for college students last September 12, 2024, at the school gymnasium with the theme ‘Into the Solidariverse: Unity Shines, College Spirit Rise!”
The gymnasium buzzed with excitement as students from different programs attended the much-anticipated college acquaintance night. It was a night of firsts for many, a taste of college life for first-year students and transferee students, and a night of fun for others. It was the night to socialize with others beyond academic walls. The annual tradition, which brings together students from different courses, is more than just a celebration. This year’s solidarity night had a special meaning. It served as a symbol of unification or a promise that college life can also be enjoyable.
Every program showcased outstanding performances. Students showcased their talents in singing, dancing, playing instruments, and even acting, leaving everyone in the event cheering and energized. As the night kicked off, music started to play, party lights were everywhere, the rhythm started to kick in, and everyone showcased their moves on the dance floor. Cameras flashed everywhere, the music intensified, and people sang and danced along with the music—it was truly a universe full of fun.
As the acquaintance night came to an end, it was clear that the event had accomplished more than just providing a night of entertainment; it had reignited the spirit of solidarity and belonging. Solidarity night marked the beginning of a universe full of hope.
