The Assumption College of Davao celebrates Sama-Sama 2024 to express their thanksgiving for the 65th founding anniversary of the school. Along with this is the Holy Eucharistic celebration, which holds the central place of their Catholic faith. It took place on April 16, 2024, and there were four masses in the institution: 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. Fr. Oliver Maningo, SVD, Fr. Felmar Binangbang, SDV, Fr. Jose Marie Escuadro, DCD, and Fr. Neil Badillo, OFM presided over these masses. They explained the gospel, which speaks about Jesus, who said, “I am the Bread of Heaven; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst (John 6:35).” As assumptionists, they were called to seek this bread, which will give them eternal life, as they also embrace their faith in celebrating their foundation day.
Celebrating a Holy Mass on ACD Foundation Day is a beautiful way to commemorate the institution’s beginnings and to seek God’s blessings for its future. This can be a meaningful and spiritually enriching experience for all involved, helping to strengthen the bonds of community and faith that are at the heart of the institution. A gathering of grace filled with faith and solidarity as the missionaries of the Assumption sisters render their thanksgiving to God since this school was given to them. This was the opportune time to reflect on God’s infinite love for those who believe in Him. Those who do his will may never be lost, and those who have faith in him may be filled with abundant grace.
