The Assumption College of Davao (ACD) was honored with the Excellence of Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Award by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on April 2, 2025, at the Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila. Dr. Giovanni A. Montejo, the school’s Vice President for Academics, Research, and Community Engagement and Services, attended to represent the School President, Sr. Elvira D. Soleminio, m.a, MBA, and the Teacher Education Program Head, Dr. Cristy Q. Efondo, to represent the College Dean, Dr. Judith N. Ambalong.
This recognition highlights High-Performing Teacher Education Institutions, reflecting their significant contributions to advancing quality and excellence in higher education. Moreover, this award from CHED acknowledges and promotes the continuous efforts of educational institutions in the Philippines to enhance the quality of teacher education and overall academic excellence.
