On October 21–22, 2023, the ACD Gymnasium came alive with the vibrant spirit of families at CAMPAMILYA 2023. More than 600 attendees from 229 families joined this heartwarming event that lived up to its theme: “Strengthening Bonds, Building Memories: Together as One Family.”
The camp kicked off with learners, their parents, or guardians setting the atmosphere with cheerful cheers and yells. An opening prayer and the national anthem played on the AVP marked the formal beginning. Ms. Maricel Banluta welcomed everyone with heartfelt opening remarks, expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of parents and guardians despite their busy schedules.
The event’s house rules were then thoughtfully laid out by Mr. Carlo Abellana. A lively community dance was organized to keep spirits high, allowing campers to share their moves and laughter.
Amidst heavy rain, families enjoyed a delightful dinner together. The night continued with an invigorating Biodanza session led by Fr. Loreto Jaque, a priest specializing in this system of movement for well-being. Laughter, hugs, and smiles marked the end of a beautiful evening.
Day 2 began bright and early at 6:00 a.m. with a morning call and a meaningful Eucharistic Celebration led by Fr. Jaque, emphasizing the importance of love in the family.
Following the mass, the CAMPAMILYA activities resumed. Families enjoyed a short BIODANZA activity, dancing together as one big family. Simultaneously, there were fun- filled activities for all. The little ones had a blast at the inflatable playground while others eagerly lined up for free ice cream.
Around the gym, families took on exciting adventure challenges through various games, competing to collect points and win prizes. A photo booth captured families in their finest moments, preserving cherished memories. On the stage, the raffle draw brought thrilling moments. Two fortunate families secured major prizes: a staycation at the Seda Hotel and a family day tour to Kapatagan- Bansalan. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Novilla R. Canalita, the BED Principal, extending heartfelt thanks to everyone for the success of this remarkable event.
CAMPAMILYA 2023 ended on a high note with a heartwarming photo opportunity that encapsulated the joy, unity, and togetherness of all who attended.
