Anti-Illegal Drugs: Fueling College Journey with Health Seminar

The Assumption College of Davao Office of Student Affairs conducted an informative seminar about anti-illegal drugs in the ACD gymnasium on August 7, 2024, to strengthen college students’ awareness of these drugs.

Ms. Mary Grace S. Monocillio conducted a comprehensive and engaging seminar among all college students at ACD to spread awareness about anti-illegal drugs. The discussion focused on the facts and myths about the students’ beliefs about illegal drugs. The speaker provided a simple and concise explanation of the causes and effects of people who get involved in this kind of practice.

According to Ms. Monocillio, “Addiction is not a choice; it’s a chronic disease.” In this statement, she highlighted the importance of seeking professional consultations, such as rehabilitation, to reduce and zero out the effects of illegal drugs. She clarified how drugs can alter an individual’s behavior and physical characteristics, yet she also underscored the potential for prevention and cure.

Towards the end of the discussion, the speaker addressed the questions and queries of the curious students. Interactive sessions were conducted to foster a deeper understanding of anti-illegal drugs. The seminar ended with many discoveries and answers to questions from the students.
