Last September 18, 2024, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines held an Investiture Ceremony for learners from Kindergarten to Junior High School at Assumption College of Davao. The event formally welcomed these young girls into the Scouting community, marking the beginning of their journey as Girl Scouts. The ceremony opened with the Girl Scout Promise and Law, followed by the official investiture, where each new member received their scarves and badges, symbolizing their commitment to the values of leadership, service, and integrity.
This ceremony holds great importance for the newly invested Girl Scouts, as it signifies their readiness to embrace the ideals of the organization. From the youngest Kinder Scouts to the Junior High School students, each girl took the oath to serve others, lead with kindness, and uphold the principles of respect, honesty, and responsibility. The Investiture marks the start of their personal and collective growth as they develop essential life skills, confidence, and the spirit of teamwork.
Concluding the ceremony, the Girl Scout leaders reminded the newly invested Scouts of their role as future leaders and role models within their communities. They emphasized the importance of service, encouraging the girls to live by the values they had pledged to uphold. This Investiture not only celebrated the entry of these young girls into the Scouting movement but also laid the foundation for their growth into empowered and compassionate young women.
