A holy eucharistic celebration led by Fr. Neil Badillo took place on September 8, 2023, at the Assumption College of Davao gymnasium that was participated by the Senior High School Department, teachers, and non-teaching personnel.
The mass is memorable because it celebrates the season of creation and the two important mothers in our lives: the Blessed Virgin Mary and Mother Earth.
“We are reminded today of the important image that cannot be seen by the world, and that image is in us. We are connected to the world so much that what we do to ourselves is what we are doing to the world, and what we are doing to the world is what we are also doing to ourselves,” Fr. Badillo stated in his homily.
He also emphasized that our holiness as Christians is reflected by respecting, loving, and caring for the world. What we are doing to the world now will also affect us in the future.
Students are also reminded that the best gift they can offer to the Blessed Virgin Mary is to love and take care of Mother Earth.
